Free party space means there is no separate room-hire fee for the space itself; you spend on drinks and food instead. Watson's offers this on qualifying bookings for up to 50 guests, with any minimum spend agreed in writing before you confirm.
“Free party space” sounds too good to be true — until you understand how it works. Here's the plain-English version.
What It Means
A traditional venue charges a hire fee for the room, then you pay for food and drink on top. With free party space, there's no separate charge for the room; the venue earns from what your guests eat and drink.
What To Check
- Is there a minimum spend, and how much?
- Does it apply to food, drink or both?
- Which days and times are covered?
- How many guests does it cover?
- Are there any exclusions, such as December dates?
How It Works At Watson's
We offer party space without a separate room-hire fee on qualifying bookings. Terms — such as a minimum food-and-drink spend — are agreed in writing before you confirm. Exclusive use is available Sunday to Wednesday, with partial space Thursday to Saturday. See our free party space page.
Getting The Most From It
- Confirm the numbers early so the spend divides sensibly.
- Choose a welcome drink and small plates to anchor the evening.
- Add a masterclass or tasting if you'd like structure.
- Share the finish time with guests.
